Cool 101.3 and Bayhealth
Medical Center are teaming up to help prevent unnecessary injuries
and death caused by texting while driving.
Did you know that texting while driving is about 6 times more likely to
result in an accident than driving while intoxicated? People who text
while driving are 23% more likely to be in a car accident. Each year,
21% of fatal car crashes involving teenagers between the ages of 16 and
19 were the result of cell phone usage.
Take the pledge now and save a life... maybe your own.
I pledge not to Text and Drive. Beginning right now I will do
my part to help put an end to distracted driving by driving as
responsibly as I can.
- I will not text while driving.
- I will not text while driving and will use a hands-free
device if I need to speak on the phone while I am driving.
